Wedding bells: The Dozen Dog Diaries merges with Spicy Stories Save Lives
by Katerina Lorenzatos Makris

Kali and I met on the day after Christmas on the Greek island of Kefalonia, where she wandered the streets limping and hungry
Well, it’s official. After more than a year of quiet cohabitation, The Dozen Dog Diaries and Spicy Stories Save Lives have finally gotten hitched. The two websites are now happily united.
I decided to tie their knot because keeping up with both Spicy and my other site, Animal Issues Reporter.com, is frazzling enough. Folding The Dozen Dog Diaries into Spicy will nicely streamline matters, especially since they’re a good match, having a lot in common.
Spicy Stories Save Lives has two main goals:
1. Offer nonfiction articles (free!) to spread awareness about animal issues, needy animals, and animal care.
2. Sell original, romantic fiction Spicy Stories (cheap! just a couple of bucks!), all with animal rescue themes, to help fund small hardworking rescue groups, spay/neuter programs, and animal welfare education efforts.
Dozen Dog Diaries (DDD) articles have one main goal:
To chronicle this writer’s personal, real-life adventures in animal rescue, because we believe that many of our experiences are not unique.
Most rescuers probably have similar experiences, and we feel it’s helpful when together we commiserate on our setbacks or celebrate our successes.
To see the DDD articles, just click on the Dozen Dog Diaries tab under “Categories” at the top right of the page. We’re currently in the somewhat laborious process of moving over the whole DDD archive, so please check back for more of those past articles here at Spicy in coming days and weeks.
Hope you’ll click on the SUBSCRIBE tab on this page (free!) to come along for the Spicy Dozen Dog Diaries ride.
And while you’re here, please make sure to keep a lookout for a brand-new romantic fiction Spicy Story with an animal rescue theme, coming up very soon.
Thanks for sticking with us!
Drop by to visit the newlyweds again soon!
Spicily yours,
Your Dozen Dog Diarist
Here at Spicy Stories Save Lives, we depend on sales of our romantic fiction stories to help create more real-life happy endings like those of Agapi, Julia, and Despi.
When we have a new Spicy Story available (soon we hope!), won’t you please use a couple of bucks to enjoy a fun read, to spice up your life, and to replenish our rescue fund?
Please FOLLOW Spicy Stories Save Lives by clicking the ‘SUBSCRIBE’ button above. You’ll receive email notifications of our new Spicy Stories as well as our nonfiction articles. We will NEVER give your email address to anyone else. And it’s free!
We, the animals, and our fellow rescuers thank you kindly for reading!
Spicy Stories Save Lives proudly sponsors needy animals in the U.S. and around the world.
For example we help Kefalonia Animal Trust (KATs) provide free spay/neuter for hundreds of animals per year, which is one of the best ways to prevent the abandonment and misery of puppies like Noah and Kyla. Please give to KATs via PayPal or bank transfer. Spay/neuter and education are the animals’ best hope for a better future.
Also please consider Animal Rescue Kefalonia (ARK), another group on the Greek island of Kefalonia who run a shelter and work miracles with terribly few resources.
Spicy Stories Save Lives and the author of this article have no affiliation with the rescue groups mentioned above, other than as a friend, volunteer, and donor.
