Ankle on ice: Sprain had better improve in time to deliver animals to new homes

If I were a drinking gal I’d invent a new cocktail and name it after my current predicament… ‘Ankle on Ice.’

‘You’re not going to make me miss my flight, are you?’ asks Princess Jorja Specklestockings / Photo: Katerina Lorenzatos Makris
Then I’d open a bar where customers would include others–because there must be others–who have stepped or will step into the same hole I did on the lovely, tourist attraction waterfront walk in Argostoli, the main town of our fair Greek island Kefalonia.
Pooch delivery trip coming up in just ten days. Highly deserving foster canines and maybe a kitty too on their way to new lives in Holland. A zillion things to plan and prepare to get them there.
So instead of bottoms up, it’s foot up, elevated high and often, with ice 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, till throbbing pain had better the heck subside ’cause I got things to do.
Please note: Spicy Stories Save Lives is proudly providing part sponsorship for several animals in Kefalonia including Viktor and Violetta and their mom Vaso (if/when we find her).
Kefalonia Animal Trust (KATs) is currently fostering Viktor and Violetta–not easy because they’re very fearful–and KATs will provide their spay/neuter out of its 100 Dog Neuter Appeal fund. Please give to KATs if you can. Spay/neuter and education are the animals’ best hope for a better future.
To help many more animals like Viktor, Violetta, and Vaso on the Greek island of Kefalonia, please donate to registered charity Kefalonia Animal Trust (KATs), via PayPal or bank transfer.
Also please consider Animal Rescue Kefalonia (ARK), another group on the island that runs a shelter and works miracles with terribly few resources.
